- Sports classes – Promote physical health, self-confidence, and social connection for women, youth, and children.
- Remembering the 2024 war workshops – Reflect on the war’s impact on personal and collective identity and promote collective healing.
- Painting workshops – Support emotional expression and creativity while fostering a sense of belonging.
- Book club – Led by local authors, combining reading, discussion, and creative writing.
- Chess – Develop problem-solving, focus, and social interaction skills.
- Sobhieh – Traditional breakfast circles with food, storytelling, and coffee-ground fortune-telling, fostering intergenerational dialogue and cultural connection.
- Movie Nights – Screening films followed by guided discussions to encourage reflection, dialogue, and collective meaning-making
Zawaya El Jiran’s programming supports psychosocial wellbeing, creative expression, learning, relief, and community cohesion through a localized, inclusive, and feminist approach grounded in community needs. All programming is intersectional, culturally grounded, and community-driven, ensuring women, girls, youth, refugees, migrant workers, and people with disabilities can participate actively, express themselves, build skills, and strengthen social cohesion.
